Autumn in Ohio

Autumn in Ohio is both beautiful and tragically short. While these photos aren’t dynamic by any stretch, I just wanted to share a few shots of autumn in the Buckeye State. Flip through and enjoy our autumn in Ohio photo tour.

A few years ago, my family adopted this classic Ohio pose at the Bridge of Dreams in Knox County. The 370 foot bridge is the second longest covered bridge in Ohio and the third longest in the United States. It spans the Mohican River, which is visible in the photo below.

This photo shows the view from the Bridge of Dreams across the Mohican River.

The corn shocks, below, were photographed near Sugarcreek in an area with a large Amish population.

The bottom left picture is of my oldest when she was much younger. We were just playing around with getting a picture of her with her carving.

Above right, I caught this kitty enjoying the Circleville Pumpkin Show a few years ago.

Glad that the praying mantis, above, enjoyed my pumpkin display last season.

Above might not be the best picture, but I’m just showing off our puppy checking out the pumpkins at Sharp Farms near Lancaster. His name, by the way, is Pumpkin.

Below is an assortment of gourds at the Lynd Fruit Farm in Pataskala, Ohio. In the past we’ve made the trip there to pick apples as a family.

And finally, we end the tour at our own front porch (below). If you haven’t already, get out and enjoy Ohio in autumn. Click through to our article on the pumpkin patch to find an outing near you.
