Start by gathering your ingredients and preparing your jumbo shells.

These shells pull together quickly and have been a family favorite for years. When the girls were little they used to call them turtle shells and requested them often.

Easy Stuffed Shells

Tablespoon olive oil
One onion, diced
1- 1 1/2 pounds hamburger
Tub of cream cheese with chives
Two cups of mozarella cheese
Jumbo shells, one box
Jar of spaghetti sauce

Browning onions and hamburger to prepare stuffed shells.
This recipe comes together so easily and is a family favorite.

Preheat your oven to 350 and grease a casserole dish.

Prepare the jumbo shells per package direction. Drain and set aside.

Add one tablespoon of olive oil to large skillet over medium to high heat. Add the onions to the skillet and stir for a few minutes until they begin to become translucent. Mix in the hamburger and stir until browned. Remove from heat and drain.

Scoop the hamburger mixture back to the pot. Add the cream cheese and stir. Add one cup of mozzarella cheese and stir.

Use a spoon to stuff hamburger mixture into prepared jumbo shells. Place shells, stuffed side down, into greased casserole dish.

Pour jar of spaghetti sauce over stuffed shells. Cover with aluminum foil and place dish in oven for 20 minutes.

Remove dish from oven. Sprinkle remaining cup of mozzarella cheese over shells.

Return to oven, uncovered, for an additional 10 minutes.

Remove dish from oven and serve.

This works great with a salad and crusty loaf of bread.
