Christmas is nearly upon us. 2020 has brought us an array of changes to our usual holiday traditions. Santa visits are virtual. Travel is restricted. And visits with friends and family have been curtailed.
A Central Ohio golf course has added a new tradition that local children can experience. The Groveport Municipal Golf Course, just southeast of Columbus, is offering a drive through Christmas display.
The drive-thru display features 130 blow up Christmas decorations. And the best news is that the entire display is absolutely free!
Time for a Holiday Road Trip
If your kids are going stir crazy right now, load them into the car, turn up the Christmas music and take a drive to the course at 1005 Richardson Road in Groveport. Drive through as many times as you’d like. And if you’re needing a little snack, pick up something to eat at the Paddock Pub. You can check out their website for call ahead service.
While so many traditions have been put on hold, 2020 provides us a great opportunity to establish some new ones. And it’s a wonderful occasion to teach our children and grandchildren that even though things are different, we can still find joy and wonder in the season.
