New River Gorge National Park is the newest in the national park system. The park is a popular destination for hiking, white water rafting, rock climbing, biking and more.
Cuyahoga Valley National Park
Cuyahoga Valley National Park near Cleveland is Ohio’s only national park. There is so much to do including hiking, biking, kayaking and more. You can even ride a train around the park. We decided to explore the Ledges trail and visit Brandywine Falls.
Highbanks Metro Park
Join us on a hike through Central Ohio’s Highbanks Metro Parks. We hiked one of the parks pet friendly trails with our dog Pumpkin. We also discovered Brood X cicadas were all over the park.
North to Alaska
Though we usually write about our travels in Ohio, we recently had the opportunity to travel north to Alaska. Join us on our fantastic trip to the 49th state.
Hocking Hills State Park
We set out for an adventure in the Hocking Hills State Park in the rain. With a number of years and visits under my belt, seeing the fog rising from the forest floor was yet another adventure in Ohio’s most beautiful park.
